Abdul Jackson Obituary

Abdul M. Jackson was born on February 20, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the eldest son of the late Mary A. Wider and Julius Jackson, along being raised with his stepfather the late Charles Wider. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, but that did not stop him for having a fulfilling life.

As an adolescent, Abdul attended UCP of Brooklyn, New York and years later attended UCPN of Roosevelt, New York. He participated in different activities at the program like going on field trips, enjoyed going to Speech and Physical Therapy and he loved to socialize with his peers and staff. Abdul loved going on family trips and spending time with his family at family functions. After the passing of their mother, his brother Kerrem and sister Tiffani vowed to continue to love, care and give Abdul the best quality of life as they promised.

Abdul loved to watch his favorite game and television shows, wear stylish clothes and sneakers, made sure he always had his watch and jewelry on, food and more food, looking at himself in the mirror and going out and being around his family especially his two little nephews. Abdul always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. He made sure people knew he was there just by his presence.

On Saturday February 22, 2020, Abdul passed away two days after his 46th Birthday. He was survived by his brother Kerrem, sister Tiffani, his brother-in-law Matthew and his nephews Chamar and Cavan. His Aunts Annie G. Ross and Patricia K. Segars and his Uncles Joseph Ross and Carl J. Ross. A slew of other aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends. Abdul will be remembered for his big smile, sense of humor, his kindness and most of all his amazing spirit.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
