Marie A. McNeill

Marie A. McNeill, of Valley Stream New York, passed away May 20, 2023 in the comfort of her home at the age of 80. 

Marie was born March 5, 1945 in Augusta, Georgia, due to her father being stationed at Ft. Gordon.  After high school Marie started a career at American Airlines before raising a family and becoming a full time Mom. After her children were grown she returned to the work force as an office manager for a pediatric optometrist in Merrick where she became close to the doctor and his family. Marie thoroughly enjoyed her time there getting to know many of the patients whom she was able to not only see improve their lives but grow up and mature into fine adults. 

Marie was a beloved wife, caring big sister, loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother, adored daughter, and much-loved cousin, aunt and dearest friend to all who met her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years Neil, her children Dawn (Mike), Dina (Tim), and Scott (Jess), 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

She is pre-deceased in life by her adoring parents, John & Molly, her beloved brother Buddy, loving grandmother and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
